Hi,
Last weekend was so much fun in Mississippi. I played in Vicksburg, MS, home of Riverfest. It was kind of rainy, but we didn't let that spoil our good time. I was going to be playing on the street for all the folks at the festival, but do to the rain, I was inside the Ware House (a great place to eat, drink and stay... they have these really well-done, renovated rooms in the historic downtown. My sister and I got to stay in one!) Well, we put speakers inside and outside so the passersby would also hear my music. Thank you Todd and Robert! Tons of people enjoying the festival outside at all the different events were listening to me sing my songs through those speakers outside! Lots of people came in off the street just to see who I was. Very nice.
This was so cool. Vicksburg's memorial park is an 18-mile trail you can drive through or ride your bike (the latter would be so much fun and I think Will and I might make a weekend out of it sometime.) Anyway, each state that had an infantry in the battle of Vicksburg has a huge national monument within this park, but it is also where the battle was fought. There are tons of old canons, preserved battle fields and a graveyard as well as the many monuments and trails that outline the battle. My sister, Megan and I were there at dusk just before the rain really hit. It was kind of eerie. We were the only ones in the whole park pretty much and the fog was rising from the trees from the humidity. I'll remember that forever.
Here are some photos for you.

Thank you sister for going with me! Would have been hard and way less fun with out you!
