Now, what is better than cheesecake on a stick, a foot-long, hand-dipped corn dog, or freshly fried funnel cake with tons of powdered sugar?
I'm telling you folks, I don't know the answer!
But, singing in the Binger, Oklahoma annual fair last night after the Caldwell Family Bluegrass Jamboree came in a very close second.
Binger, Oklahoma is close to Red Rock canyon in Oklahoma, and the country side was beautiful. The fair reminded me of that classic southern fair scene in Steel Magnolias. Perfectly topped off with a Carousel, giant slide and a dunking booth. (You know, where someone is sitting above a huge tank of water.) Your's truly dunked the town sheriff on the third try! Okay... so my uncle Mark helped, I hit the bullseye and nothing happened, so Mark went over and punched it for me.
I'm posting some lovely pics of the fabulous event on myspace. Some folks said they wanted me to play at the Hinton Fair next weekend in the next town over... seeing as this was so fun, I may just ride the fair circuit for the rest of the summer.
